Hello Rog, My apologies to your wife for anything I may have done to upset or offend. Where in Somerset are you? I've been working in West Huntspill on & off for the last few months. I bought my FZ from the same area some 3-4 years ago. Look forward to seeing your project's progress.

Prices have come down a fair bit since I was shopping around for spares it would seem. I don't think it matters what you use as long as it all works as it should. Budget is normally the deciding factor for my upgrades. YZF arm or any braced arm is always a nice touch but not convinced the extra weight (on an already hefty bike) is really necessary. Does the power of an FZ engine warrant a braced arm? Will you be fitting a bigger engine at any stage? USD forks look good on just about anything but again, condition is the key factor as to how "cheap" they actually end up being. I think that fitting anything from a more modern bike has got to be worth while so wouldn't worry too much about having the latest components. I try to work with what's available to me without splashing too much cash. ;D

Crusty lives within his own exsistence, never suffers fools but sometimes embraces them with a friendly word or three.
