Hi Guys Just working through getting the clutch finsihed after the calamity of late last year and I've noticed that the old trusty Clymer manual is silent on the torque settings for the clutch spring screws - just says to tighten them (which is what I did last time when one snapped). At present I've got them tighten to 2 Nm (going off my RD250LC and other manuals which talked about a 1Nm setting) so if you have any tips.
Also with the case bolts does anyome have any views? The more skilled of you would say just do it up until it doesn't leak but I guess I'm a little gun shy (plus I bought a you beaut new torque wrench so love to use it). On the RD it said 10Nm which seemed OK but the bolts on the FZ seem a little more slight than the RD (or is it me being paranoid....).
Anyway any suggestions and ti[ps appreciated. Would be good to find a genuine factory manual as they tend to list these things I've noticed vs the after market manuals.
Cheers
PK

Just popped open my FZR's factory manual and the clutch cover bolts are M6's @ 10Nm, the clutch spring bolts say M6's @ 8Nm and the main clutch nut is an M20 @ 70Nm. I know the FZ and FZR clutches are a tiny bit different but I would imagine that the torque values would be the same. You can also call the tech at the dealership and they will probably help you out.

Thanks for that
My clutch nuts are 10m and the case bolts 8m so not sure if we land on the same point. Per your book the case bolts are the same as the RD250LC manual I have so seems about right.
Not sure I'd want to do the pressure plate bolts up to 8Nm though....

I take pressure plate bolts up as follows. Tighten until underneath of bolt head touches down + 1/4 turn. Never had an issue ;D
