Hi all.. does anyone know what colours the blues are on the 87 fz please. If not the correct paint code or name.. maybe a suggestion for a close match. I've found the lighter met blue is very close to that of an 85 Fiesta XR2 mk2.! Cheers.. Paul

Hi Paul, That's actually an 86 bike and paint scheme. I don't know the codes but this lot www.rsbikepaint.com/en-us/colours.phplist paints for the 85 and 87 schemes and might be able to help. Not cheap though

Thanks for that, i did try but their drop-down lists for FZ's didnt have the blue bike there, that's why i thought i'd ask here as normally it's the real enthusiasts who know things like this.
The bike in the pic is just for reference and not mine, mine 'was' like this, reg'd in 87 so probably sat in a show-room and late registered.
Are there any technical bods on this forum that may know what colour this FZ is.? ..or point me in the right direction for this info. I'd be really grateful if you could jump in and help me out.!
Cheers.. Paul

Thanks for that, i'll give em a look. EDIT.. just got a reply back and they only have the reds or whites. Same reply all over.... almost like they never made my bike people know so little about them..!
What i really need is the actual FZ colour names or code, i guess no-ones ever restored one of these models before. I can get the paint in real quantities for a realistic price, but need to tell the graphics company who are making my decals, what colours the 2 different blues are so things match up.
I thought finding the colour of a motorcycle in the 21st century would be easy... but like the decals and exhausts, it's nigh-on impossible lol.!
Cheers.. Paul

Really.? ..doesn't ANYONE on an FZ750 forum know what color this FZ750 is? I appreciate the couple of people who have replied here, but i'm reallyquite surprised that even after asking on other forums and a friend asked on various FZ750 facebook pages, that absolutely no-one knows what colour this FZ is ..even tho some people actually own the very same model lol..!
I'll try Yamaha UK, failing that something like VJMC or classic mechanics mag, but you'd think with all the online clubs, groups, forums and enthusiast sites etc that someone would know.

The parts manual calls this colour scheme Silky White/Star Blue Metallic, although the blue looks like the Dynasty Blue on the first 2mgs, but I don't think that gets you anywhere - there are no codes and the paint isn't available from Yamaha. I think your best bet would be to take an un-faded bit of panel to a paint shop and match against their swatches
