I am new here but see a lot of good info on here. I picked up a barn find fz for $300 with supsosively some mods done, but can not get to run. I am looking for some info on fuel pump. I can hear it click when key is turned on and off, but does not hum like most fuel pumps i've seen. if i bypass pump it will run. Is there rebuild kits for them or can it be replaced with a different pump? What pressure should they run?

Sounds like it is working correctly. If the carbs are full, the pressure switch will prevent the pump from starting.
If the carbs need priming, the pump will run for approx 3 seconds when you turn on the ignition and then stop. To full prime the carbs (from empty), you need to repeat this several times.

The clicking sound is the fuel pump. This is perfectly normal.

Hi, welcome , dont know what you have already done but if the bike has been standing then you'll need to clean the fuel system, i take it you have done this, then keep priming the carbs, myself i would ultrasonically clean carbs as all sorts of strange shite gets in there, also the tank is clean of rust ? let us know how your getting on with it,
