Thanks for the offer John but my project bikes have a habit of turning into keepers which is why I can hardly get in the garage for bikes now.
Robbo.

Hi Ian, just wanna say the paintwork was done by Ste at Esoteric m/c paint in Blackpool, it cost about 500 odd quid and the finish and attention to detail is superb, I was stunned when I went to collect it. Ste is a top bloke, he has also painted my SDR200 (R7 scheme) and he will be getting my FS1E to do aswell shortly.

doc, got the front sprocket from www.motorradschwingen.de they make them to your spec without any fuss and quick too, aren't cheap but they never are in my experience. It has 5mm offset but i had to machine 5mm off the sprocket carrier too. number6, pleased you like it , no i dont mind the facebook pic, i've got a couple of questions for you too as it happens. robbo.

Bloody nice job that . I picked up a copy of "practical sportbikes" here in Los Angeles and blow me down - there is your stunner in all its glory . I have an '85 fz750 and an '87 fzr1000 motor - can i mix and match to make a big bore engine with a 6 speed tranny without machining anything?. Once again - nice build mate !.

Apparently there is a problem with con rod clearance on the early motors so machining would be necessary on your 85 bottom end. I believe it is still possible but not nearly as simple as using a later FZ motor.

That looks awesome.
Now I feel bad about not putting in more effort with mine.
Maybe one day...... I can't back that up.
